In what seems to be an unexpected and big blow to Australia, the veteran spinner and modern-day bowling great, Nathan Lyon has gone injured. In a displeasing visual, Lyon was seen with crutches while he was heading towards the Lord’s Cricket Ground ahead of the third day of the ongoing second Ashes 2023 Test.
Notably, the New South Wales cricketing veteran recently achieved a unique record as he became the only player to play 100 consecutive Test matches since 2013 till the ongoing Lord’s Test against England.
Meanwhile, the speculations about Lyon’s injury are drawing a lot of reactions and responses from cricket fans. Fans took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wished a speedy recovery to the Aussie spin great.
