Australia will lock horns with Bangladesh in match 34 of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup on Thursday (November 4). A lot will be at stake for Australia in the match as they need to win big to have any hopes of qualifying for the semifinals.

With England through to the knockouts, there is only one spot up for grab. South Africa have won three out of four games and have a plus net run rate. Australia are currently placed third on four points but have a negative NRR. Hence this game becomes crucial for the team. Australia have got a much-needed break after the shellacking they received from England.

A few days of time off might have given the Finch-led team to ponder about the areas they need to improve. Australia need to quickly address the batting issue and hope to do well against Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, not much has gone right for the Mahmudullah-led team. With four losses, Bangladesh’s script and playing on the UAE conditions have horribly gone wrong.

Pitch Conditions

The Dubai wicket has not been typical for batting. A total of 145-150 has been difficult to post in the first innings.
