Preview

England are set to cross swords against Bangladesh in match 20 of the 20-20 World Cup on Wednesday (October 27). The teams have begun contrastingly in the super 12 stage of the global event. England are coming off a thumping win over West Indies, while Bangladesh suffered a five-wicket loss against Sri Lanka.

England showed why they are one of the most dangerous T20I as they outclassed West Indies in all departments. The bowling sans Jofra Archer looked lethal, with Adil Rashid and Tymal Mills doing the bulk of the damage. England strutted a bit in the modest run-chase of 56, and against Bangladesh spinners, the challenge will be stiffer.

The Tigers have not looked that convincing in the showpiece event so far. Everyone expected them to have a walk in the park in the Qualifiers but instead, they suffered a shocking loss against Scotland, and also against Sri Lanka in their first match of the Super 12 stage. Bangladesh have to pull up their socks if they have to harbour hopes of advancing to the next stage. The likes of Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib-al-Hasan, and Mahmudullah need to fire in unison against England.

Pitch Conditions

The match is going to be played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium Abu Dhabi, a pitch where the ball generally comes slowly onto the bat. The match between Australia and South Africa was a low-scoring one with spinners dominating proceedings and the upcoming game could also be a low scoring affair.

Weather Report

The weather in Abu Dhabi is predicted to be 32 degrees Celsius on Wednesday (October 27).
