The battle between the two associate nations will take place on Wednesday (October 27), as Scotland are set to face off Namibia. Both teams managed to do well in Qualifiers of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup. In the first game of Super 12s, Scotland suffered went down to Afghanistan by a huge margin of 130 runs. The team has to quickly get their act together and put the disappointment behind the back.
The batting struggled against Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman and Rashid Khan that resulted in hara-kiri as the team was bundled out for just 60. Namibia does not boast a quality and mystery spinner like Mujeeb but they certainly cannot afford to take them lightly.
Meanwhile, Namibia have certainly been one of the stories of the 20-20 World Cup so far. They were not given a chance to qualify for the Super 12 stage considering Ireland and Netherlands were the other teams competing in their Group. Not only did they beat those teams but have also given hope to other aspiring cricketers to take up the sport.
All-rounder David Wiese has been brilliant in the Qualifiers and would hope to carry that momentum and form against Scotland. He has so far scored 100 runs in three games.
Pitch Conditions
Abu Dhabi is comparatively sluggish than the other two grounds in UAE. The batting here is not easy thus a low scoring game can be on the cards.
