Former India all-rounder Yusuf Pathan has backed Team India to bounce back after their 10-wicket loss against Pakistan in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup. India didn’t have any answers to the rampaging pair of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, who put on a 152-run stand to enable the first victory for the team in 13 attempts against India in World Events.
The Men in Blue still have four games left in the group stages, and the team will next be seen in action against New Zealand on Sunday (October 31). Pathan said the team has enough match-winners who know the art of performing well in pressure situations.
“I don’t think it will be difficult for India to bounce back as our players have been playing good cricket. All the Indian players are hardworking and they know how to handle pressure. We all should keep supporting the team and the players will definitely do well,” said Pathan during a virtual media conference.
The former India all-rounder further stated that one loss does not rule the team out of the tournament. He sounded optimistic about India claiming their second 20-20 World Cup title.
“We are not out of the tournament after one loss. India still have a chance to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and I hope that we can win the T20 World Cup,” he added.
Yusuf Pathan will next be seen in action in the T10 league, which is set to begin on November 19.
