AB de Villiers announced his retirement from international cricket back in 2018. However, de Villiers continued to entertain fans with tremendous performances in T20 leagues across the world. South Africa’s head coach Mark Boucher has hinted at AB de Villiers’s return from international cricket. However, AB de Villiers recently announced that he has the intention of returning to play international cricket. That said, here is a list of AB de Villiers’s 3 best centuries in international cricket:

3. 162* vs West Indies

AB de Villiers ran riot against West Indies in an ODI match back in 2015. In just 66 balls, de Villiers blasted 162 runs in total. His stupendous innings with the bat featured a total of 17 boundaries and 8 sixes. AB de Villiers’s sublime knock of 162 guided South Africa to a mammoth total of 408 in 50 overs. In reply, West Indies could only muster 151 in total. South Africa went to win the ODI match by a comprehensive margin of 257 runs.

2. 119 vs India

AB de Villiers sent India’s bowlers to the cleaners in an ODI match back in 2015. In just 61 balls, the Pretorian smashed 119 runs in total. His sublime innings of 119 featured a total of 3 fours and 11 massive sixes. In 50 overs, South Africa posted a mammoth total of 438. India needed to chase a total of 439 to win the ODI. However, the Men in Blue could manage to post a total of 224 in 50 overs. South Africa went on to win the ODI by a huge margin of 214 runs.

1. 149 vs West Indies

AB de Villiers dominated West Indian bowlers in an ODI match back in 2015. The Pretorian created history after becoming the fastest player to amass a century in the ODI format. It took de Villiers only 30 balls to reach a score of 100. The Pretorian smacked 149 runs in just 44 balls, as South Africa posted a total of 439 in 50 overs. In reply, West Indies could only muster a total of 291 in 50 overs. South Africa went on to register a comfortable victory 148 runs against West Indies.
