The last fifty that came off Glenn Maxwell’s bat was back in IPL 2016. After a long wait of around 1086 days, Maxwell finally notched a fifty in IPL 2021. Maxwell’s knock of 59 against SRH to help RCB post a total of 149 on the board. While Maxwell does not have the best IPL statistics, the Australian has amassed some great innings in his IPL career. Maxwell looked to be the only threat from the RCB’s batting lineup against SRH in IPL 2021. The Australian all-rounder was all by himself as the RCB batting lineup started to collapse. In just 41 balls, Maxwell’s crucial knock of 59 helped RCB post a fighting total of 149 on the board. In his innings, Maxwell amassed a total of 5 fours and 3 sixes. In the end, RCB won the match by a margin of 5 runs. For his brilliant knock of 59, Maxwell was awarded the Man of the Match award.
43(22) : IPL 2014
Before joining RCB in IPL 2021, Maxwell was part of the Punjab squad in IPL 2014. Batting first, SRH posted a mammoth total of 205 on the board. Wriddhiman Saha’s super knock of 54 off 26 balls kept Punjab in the game. However, it was Glenn Maxwell who made sure that the runs kept flowing. In just 22 balls, Maxwell blasted 43 runs, including a total of 2 fours and 5 sixes. Eventually, Maxwell got out, but by then the damage was dealt. George Bailey and David Miller completed a historical run chase against SRH as Punjab won by 6 wickets.

Maxwell wreaked havoc against SRH in IPL 2014. In their 2nd match against SRH in IPL 2014, Maxwell was on fire. Coming in to bat at No 3, Maxwell completely destroyed the SRH bowlers. In 43 balls, Maxwell amassed a remarkable 95 runs with a terrific strike rate of 220.93. His spectacular innings of 95 featured 9 huge sixes and 5 fours. Out of 195 runs that Punjab posted, 95 came out of the Australian’s bat. In reply, SRH were all out for just 121 runs. Maxwell exerted his dominance as Punjab won the game by a comprehensive margin of 72 runs. For his breathtaking knock with the bat, Maxwell has adjudged the Man of the Match.
