Deepti Sharma has established herself as one of the dependable players in India's women limited-overs team. She is lethal with the ball, and more than handy with the bat. It is a reason why she has been selected to fly to England for the one-off Test. The Test would be followed by the three-match WODIs series and an equal number of WT20Is.
The UP all-rounder made her debut in 2014 in Bangalore. The Indian team was playing against South Africa Women’s team. She had not put up a good performance with the bat but she established herself with the ball. She had chipped in with a spell of 2/35. Indian women’s team was overpowered by Nadine Moodley and Mignon du Preez's performances in that match. But Deepti Sharma did enough to become a prominent member of the team.

2016: 6/20 vs Sri Lanka
Deepti Sharma helped India in securing a seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka Women in the ICC Women's Championship at Ranchi. Batting first, the Sri Lankan team was able to put up just 112 runs on the board. Sharma had successfully put a dent on Sri Lanka’s batting with her off-break.
Deepti Sharma had picked up six wickets against Sri Lankan women’s team.
The chase was easily achieved because of Veda Krishnamurthy, who scored a patient 61 runs for India. Deepti Sharma also contributed with the bat. She scored 28 off 59 balls.
2016: 4/23 vs Sri Lanka
Sharma gave a scintillating bowling performance in the same series where India beat Sri Lanka by six wickets. Her spell of 4/23 restricted the opponents to 178 for 9. India chased down the target in 43.1 overs. In that match, Smriti Mandhana (46) and Mithali Raj (53) helped make the chase look easy.
2017: 3/47 vs England
Sharma gave an impressive in the ICC Women's World Cup. She had a 3/47 spell against England, which helped the Indian team win the game by 35 runs. Batting first, India had set a 282-run target for the English team. A Smriti Mandhana masterclass (90) and a fluent knock by Raj (71) helped the team put up that target.
The England women’s team fell short of the target by 35 runs. Sharma took the wickets of Nat Sciver, Danni Wyatt, and Anya Shrubsole. The English team could not get past 246 runs.
