The 2nd week of IPL 2021 is underway. We have witnessed some nail-biting encounters in the 14th edition of the IPL. Virat Kohli’s RCB is leading the title race with 3 wins in 3 games. On the other hand, David Warner’s SRH is at the bottom of the IPL 2021 points table. Several players have taken the IPL 2021 by storm, producing some match-winning performances. Some capped Indian players have failed to make it to the starting XI of their respective franchise this season. That said, here is a list of 3 capped Indian players whose values have dropped significantly in recent times:

1. Siddarth Kaul

The pace bowler was regarded by many as one of India’s best young talents. However, after some poor performances in previous IPL seasons, Siddarth Kaul has completely disappeared from the IPL. Since IPL 2019, Kaul has seen a significant decline in his bowling performances. In IPL 2020, Siddarth Kaul managed to play one match in the entire season. In the same match, Kaul leaked 64 runs in just 4 overs. With such a dismal outing in IPL 2020, it won’t be surprising if Kaul is benched the entire season this year.

2. Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav was once a regular starter for KKR in the IPL. However, Yadav had a poor outing with the ball in the IPL last year. In IPL 2020, Yadav bowled 5 overs in total. In those 5 overs, Yadav conceded 92 runs, and only picked a single wicket in the entire season. Moreover, Yadav also performed poorly with India in the international format in recent times. Consequently, Yadav has failed to make a single appearance for KKR in IPL 2021 to date. There is a high possibility that Yadav might warm the bench the entire season this year.

3. Mayank Markande

Mayank Markande had a superb debut season with MI in IPL 2018. In 14 matches in IPL 2018, Markanade scalped an impressive 15 wickets in total. Despite an impressive IPL season debut, Markande played only 3 matches in IPL 2019. Furthermore, Markande did not play a single match in the IPL last year. After failing to make an appearance in the IPL last year, things might remain unchanged for Mayank Markande in IPL 2021.
