Nitish Rana

The IPL 2021 has seen several uncapped Indian cricketers rise to the occasion. Currently, KKR cricketer Nitish Rana is the orange cap holder, with 137 runs in 2 matches. Following him in the race is RR captain Sanju Samson and SRH cricketer Manish Pandey. Meanwhile, RCB’s Harshal Patel is the purple cap holder, with 7 wickets in 2 games. While Nitish Rana and Harshal Patel have never represented India on a national level, they could receive a national call-up after a terrific outing in IPL 2021. With the T20 World Cup coming closer and closer, BCCI selectors are closely looking for potential talent in the IPL. That said, here are 3 Indian players who could receive a national call-up if they continue to perform well in IPL 2021:

Nitish Rana

Nitish Rana has been in blistering form in the IPL 2021 so far. In 2 matches, Rana amassed 137 runs with a terrific batting average of 68.50. With Rana in sublime form, the opening conundrum for KKR has been finally resolved. KKR will expect Nitish Rana to continue in such form in the upcoming matches this season. Moreover, Rana will also back himself to finish as the highest run-scorer in the IPL this year. If Nitish Rana has a terrific outing in IPL 2021, we could see Rana don the Indian jersey soon.

Avesh Khan

Avesh Khan had a terrific outing in the Indian domestic circuit recently. In the IPL this year, Avesh Khan has bowled some brilliant spells for Delhi Capitals. In 2 matches in IPL 2021, the 24-year-old has scalped 5 wickets. Furthermore, his superb bowling of 6.87 has made him a regular starter for the Delhi side. If Khan continues to deliver with the ball this season, he might get a national call-up soon.

Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel has been RCB’s best bowler in IPL 2021 so far. The purple cap holder has scalped 7 wickets in 2 games, with a brilliant bowling economy of 6.50. Patel created history after he scalped a 5 wicket haul against MI. His 5 wicket haul was the 1st ever 5 wicket haul against MI in IPL history. In the match against MI, Patel bowled 4 overs and scalped 5 wickets, conceding just 27 runs in total. If Harshal Patel continues playing this way, we could see him represent India in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
