The IPL 2021 has been host to some nail-biting encounters till date. We have seen many uncapped Indian players impress with the ball and bat. We also witnessed a few overseas players deliver for their respective franchises. However, several overseas players, some of which were big-money signings, have failed to impress in the IPL 2021 so far. If these players do not deliver as the season unfolds, franchises will consider other overseas options for the future. That said, here is a list of 3 overseas players who could play in the IPL next season:

Devon Conway

Devon Conway has been in sublime form playing for New Zealand in the international format. The 29-year-old has played 14 T20Is so far, scoring 473 runs with a superb batting average of 59.12. His strike rate of 151.11 speaks volumes about his hard-hitting ability in the shortest format of the game. Devon Conway also has experience playing in several T20 Leagues across the globe. In 94 T20 matches, Conway has amassed 3149 runs with a record best of 105 not out. Conway will be on the radar of every franchise in the IPL next year. Should he play in the IPL next year, Conway could set the stage on fire.

Thisara Perera

The Sri Lankan cricketer has participated in the IPL in the past. However, Perera attracted no buyers in the IPL this year. Perera had a brilliant outing with Sri Lanka recently, and we could see him play in the IPL next year. The 32-year-old caught worldwide attention after he became the 1st Sri Lankan to hit 6 sixes in an over. Perera also looked in fine touch with the ball in the Sri Lankan domestic circuit. With such impressive statistics, we could see Perera make a comeback in the IPL next year.

Marnus Labuschagne

The Australian cricketer could be a vital addition to any IPL franchise next season. The 26-year-old is renowned to keep the runs ticking and provide stability to the batting lineup. Several overseas players have failed to stay at the crease for long in the IPL this year. Labuschagne could be a blessing in disguise for teams struggling to keep wickets. The Australian is also a part-time spinner and could bowl some extra overs for the team. In the end, Labuschagne could be a vital asset for any IPL side which is struggling in the batting department.
