Mumbai Indians (MI) created history after winning the IPL trophy for the 5th time in 13 seasons. With a convincing win over Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians managed to successfully defend their title.

The IPL 2021 Auction is imminent, and team management needs to make quick decisions. Players vital for the team could be retained, whereas those who failed to impress might see the exit door next season. Every IPL franchise will have their eyes set on the auction. This could be a golden chance to bring in replacements that could stabilize the team.

Mumbai Indians have already started planning IPL 2021, and are keen on trading players in the auction.

Here is a list of 3 such players whom MI might acquire next season:

1. Jagadeesha Suchith (Kings XI Punjab)

Krunal Pandya's dismal performance has been a concern for MI. Acquired at 8 cr, Krunal Pandya has failed to be a value buy. He managed to score only 106 runs in 16 matches, taking 6 wickets in total.

Mumbai Indians need a strong backup and can get it with Jagadeesha Suchith. The all-rounder from Karnataka started his career with MI, only to move to DC and then KXIP later on. In the 15 matches, Suchith has scored 54 runs and taken 12 wickets.

2. Andrew Tye (Rajasthan Royals)

Foreign players Nathan Coulter-Nile and James Pattinson failed to deliver what was expected from the duo. Bought at 8 cr, Coulter-Nile managed to scalp only 5 wickets in 7 games. As for Pattinson, he picked up 11 wickets in 10 games and yet somehow managed to lose his spot in the playing XI.

With their foreign bowlers under-delivering, reinforcements are needed. Andrew Tye might be the perfect fit for that. A former Purple Cap winner, Tye managed to play only one match in IPL 2020. However, he is still a very decent bowler and with his low price, MI would surely try to acquire him.

3. Tom Curran (Rajasthan Royals)

Hardik Pandya is well-known for his aggressive batting, but his inconsistency in the bowling department calls for backup. MI needs a reliable all-rounder, who is equally good with the bat and the ball.

Tom Curran might just turn out to be the player MI is looking for. Although he is a bowler, Curran’s batting has improved tremendously. He is capable of hitting quickfire cameos similar to those of Hardik Pandya. Available for 1 cr, MI might acquire him next season.
