The RR management will look to build the team around Samson for the upcoming seasons of the IPL. Hence, it is highly likely that RR will retain Samson for the IPL next season.
2. Chetan Sakariya
Another Indian player that RR might retain in the IPL next season is Chetan Sakariya. Chetan Sakariya bowled brilliantly in his debut season in the IPL. In just 7 matches in IPL 2021, the 23-year-old scalped 7 wickets for RR. The left-arm bowler was a threat for opposition batsmen in the powerplay overs in IPL 2021. The youngster could definitely view the Purple cap in the IPL next year. The RR management will be keen to retain Chetan Sakariya in the IPL next season.
1. Ben Stokes
Ben Stokes is the most likely overseas player to be retained by RR in the IPL next season. The 29-year-old is one of the best all-rounders in the world. However, Ben Stokes could only manage to play one match in the IPL this year. England all-rounder incurred an injury and had to leave IPL 2021 midway. Stokes is arguably RR’s most important overseas player. The Rajasthan franchise will want Stokes to stay with the franchise for the IPL next season.
