SRH and CSK

SRH will face CSK today at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi. SRH is struggling to find a winning form in IPL 2021. In 5 games, SRH has managed to win only 1 match. On the other hand, CSK is in fine form in this season so far. CSK has won 4 out of 5 matches they played in the season so far. Even though CSK are the favorites to win the match, SRH has plenty of match-winners on their side. That said, here are 3 milestones that SRH players could achieve in the match against CSK in IPL 2021:

3. David Warner could register 10000 runs in T20 cricket

The Australian is arguably SRH’s most important player this year. Warner joined SRH back in 2014. In 2016, Warner led SRH to their 1st ever IPL title. Warner boasts a solid T20 record. The Australian has amassed 8 T20 hundreds in his cricket career, out of which 4 came in the IPL. The 34-year-old has amassed 9960 runs in his T20 career. Hence, Warner is only 40 short of amassing a record 10000 runs in T20 cricket. The SRH skipper could finally achieve this milestone in the match against CSK today.

2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar could register his 200th T20 wicket

Bhuvneshwar Kumar did not play against DC due to an injury. However, he has recovered from the injury and is available to play against CSK. The 31-year-old has already scalped 196 wickets in T20 cricket. Hence, there is a strong possibility that Kumar might register his 200th T20 wicket in the match against CSK. Talking about the IPL, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is currently the 7th highest wicket-taker in the IPL, with 139 wickets in 125 matches. If Kumar scalps a single wicket against CSK, he will overtake R Ashwin to become the 6th highest wicket-taker in IPL history.

1. David Warner could overtake Suresh Raina to become the 2nd highest run-scorer in IPL history

As of now, Virat Kohli is the highest run-scorer in the IPL, with 6041 runs. At no 2 and no 3 are Suresh Raina and David Warner respectively. While Raina has 5472 runs, Warner is only 82 runs behind, with 5390 runs in his IPL career. If Warner finds form against CSK, we could see him overtake Raina to become the 2nd highest run-scorer in IPL history.
