Sehwag played his best knock in an ICC tournament final against Australia in the 2003 ODI World Cup. The former Indian opener amassed 82 runs against Australia. At no 3 in this list is former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly. Ganguly amassed a total of 141 runs for India in 2 ICC tournament finals. Ganguly played his best knock in an ICC tournament final in the  ICC Knockout Trophy against New Zealand. The former Indian skipper amassed an impressive 117 runs against New Zealand. Unfortunately, India lost to New Zealand in the final of the 2000 ICC Knockout Trophy.

At no 2 in this list is former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir. Gambhir has amassed a total of 172 runs for India in the ICC tournament finals. Gambhir played his best knock in the ICC tournament finals in the 2011 ICC ODI World Cup against Sri Lanka. The former Indian opener scored 97 runs against Sri Lanka. Gambhir’s knock of 97 guided India to a historic win against Sri Lanka in the 2011 ODI World Cup. 

1. Virat Kohli (204 runs)

Virat Kohli is the highest run scorer for India in the ICC tournament finals. Kohli has amassed a total of 204 runs for India in 5 innings for India in the ICC tournament finals. Kohli’s best performance in an ICC tournament final came against Sri Lanka in the 2014 T20 World Cup final. Unfortunately, India lost the 2014 T20 World Cup final against Sri Lanka.
