Punjab Kings performed poorly in the 1st half of IPL 2021. Out of 8 matches in the 1st half of IPL 2021, Punjab managed to win only 3 in total. Moreover, Punjab might have to play the remaining matches of IPL 2021 without some of its overseas players. That said, here are 4 PBKS players who could miss the UAE leg of IPL 2021:

⦁ Chris Jordan

Chris Jordan played a total of 3 matches for PBKS in the 1st half of IPL 2021. The England bowler scalped 2 wickets for Punjab in the 1st half of IPL 2021. Jordan is an important overseas player in the PBKS squad this year. However, Jordan is likely to be unavailable for the 2nd leg of IPL 2021 since he will be on international duty with England. PBKS will surely miss the services of Jordan in the UAE leg of IPL 2021.

⦁ Dawid Malan

Another English player who might miss the UAE leg of IPL 2021 is Dawid Malan. Malan is ranked as the no 1 T20 batsman as per the ICC T20I batting rankings. Malan made only one appearance for PBKS in the 1st half of IPL 2021, scoring a total of 26 runs. Like Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan might also be unavailable for the remainder of IPL 2021. PBKS will have to play the remainder of the IPL this season without the services of Malan.

⦁ Riley Meredith

Riley Meredith performed well in the 1st half of the IPL this season. The 24-year-old scalped 4 wickets for PBKS in 5 matches in the 1st half of IPL 2021. The Australian bowler has been selected in the Australian squad for the T20I series against West Indies and Bangladesh. Hence, Meredith is likely to skip the UAE leg of the IPL this season.

⦁ Moises Henriques

Henriques played a total of 3 matches for PBKS in the 1st half of IPL 2021. While Henriques flopped with the bat, he impressed with the ball in the 1st half of IPL 2021. The Australian all-rounder maintained a superb bowling economy of 4.8 in the 1st half of IPL 2021. Like Riley Meredith, Moises Henriques has also been selected in Australia’s T20I squad. Hence, Moises Henriques is likely to skip the UAE leg of the IPL this season.
