The dream of winning the IPL got vanished once again for the crowd-favorite franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore. One of the most decorated teams got eliminated from the tournament yet another time after a loss against Gujarat Titans in the last league match against the defending champions Gujarat Titans. Former skipper and batting superstar, Virat Kohli scored an amazing century for RCB but it went in vain GT chased down the total courtesy of the outstanding century smashed by the young batter Shubman Gill.
Meanwhile, the skipper Faf du Plessis has come up with a confession and big admission while talking about the line of fault for RCB in the current season of the Indian Premier League 2023.
"To be honest, we weren't one of the best teams in this IPL. We are lucky that were some really good performances throughout the IPL. But as a team & whole unit, we don't deserve to be in the semifinals. But still hurts,” said du Plessis in the aftermath of the six-wicket defeat against Hardik Pandya’s men.

Subsequently, a section of cricket fans agreed with this statement and analysis from the RCB skipper. Later on, the fans also took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and came up with a lot of reactions and responses to du Plessis’ remarks on Bangalore’s performance this season in the Indian Premier League 2023.
Here’s how fans reacted:

Absolutely he is right
— Shamsi (MSH) (@ShamsiHaidri) May 22, 2023
He is definitely right, as a Rcbian i personally don't want to see such weak batting line up to qualify nd grab opportunities of other franchise 👍 but definitely yes it hurts a lot 😔

A brutally honest assessment of the team that revolved around only 4 players (Bracewell did try though). Outspoken leaders like him and Virat are an asset to their countries.

Honest, unlike his teams fans
— Happy KKR Fan (@Ankur55710) May 22, 2023
Absolutely right there are 11 players in a team but performed only 4

Focus on Building Team rather highlighting 3-4 imp players in RCB Ego is more bigger than talent.

Treat Every Player as Equally.
Give them Confidence that they can also Win Match for Team...
Speaking of the action of the match between RCB and GT played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the visitors’ skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, the red and gold outfits managed to post a total of 197 runs for the loss of five wickets owing to Virat Kohli’s knock of 101 runs off just 61 balls with 13 boundaries and a six to his name.
But later in the second innings, it was the young batting sensation Shubman Gill who scored a swashbuckling century and contributed with 104 runs off just 52 balls with five fours and eight sixes with the wood to win the match by six wickets for Gujarat and eliminating RCB from the contention for playoffs.
