The remaining matches of IPL 2021 are set to take place in the UAE. The decision to host the remainder of IPL 2021 in UAE was announced by the BCCI on 29th May. Quite a few batsmen will be happy regarding the change in venue for the remainder of the IPL this season. That said, here are 5 bowlers who might benefit if the 2nd phase of IPL 2021 is held in UAE:

1. Quinton de Kock

Quinton de Kock ran riot with the bat in IPL 2020. The South African smashed a total of 503 runs in the IPL last year. However, de Kock looked out of form in IPL 2021. In 6 matches in IPL 2021, Quinton de Kock could only manage to score 155 runs in total. Quinton de Kock could see an improvement in his performance if UAE host the remainder of IPL 2021.

2. Ishan Kishan

Kishan was MI’s most successful batsman in the IPL last year. The 22 year old smashed an impressive 516 runs for MI in IPL 2021. However, Kishan failed to replicate a similar performance in the IPL this year. In 5 matches in IPL 2021, Kishan managed to amass only 73 runs in total. A change of venue might do wonders for Ishan Kishan in the IPL this season.

3. Mayank Agarwal

Agarwal looked in fine form with the bat in the IPL last year. The 30 year old smacked an impressive 424 runs for Punjab in IPL 2020. However, Agarwal failed to find consistency in the IPL this year. In 7 matches in IPL 2021, Agarwal amassed only 260 runs in total. Agarwal might regain his old form if UAE host the remaining matches of IPL 2021.

4. Nicholas Pooran

Pooran was in sublime form with the bat in the IPL last year. In just 14 matches, Pooran smashed a total of 353 runs in IPL 2020. However, Pooran performed poorly in the IPL this year. In 7 matches in IPL 2021, Pooran could only score a meagre 28 runs in total. Pooran might find his lost form if UAE host the remaining matches of the IPL this season.

5. Devdutt Padikkal

20 year old Devdutt Padikkal was RCB’s best batsman in IPL 2020. The RCB opener racked up 473 runs in the IPL last year. Although Padikkal scored 195 runs in 6 matches in IPL 2021, he looked slightly less aggressive with the bat. If the remainder of IPL 2021 takes place in the UAE, Padikkal might return to his aggressive and hard hitting batting style.
