The BCCI recently announced that IPL 2021 will restart in September-October 2021. The remainder of IPL 2021 is likely to take place in the UAE. Quite a few bowlers will be happy regarding the change in venue for the remainder of the IPL this season. That said, here are 5 bowlers who might benefit if the 2nd phase of IPL 2021 is held in UAE:

1. Trent Boult

Trent Boult bowled brilliantly for Mumbai Indians in the IPL this year. The New Zealand bowler scalped an impressive 25 wickets for MI in IPL 2020. However, Boult looked somewhat out of form in IPL 2021. In 7 matches in IPL 2021, Boult only managed to pick 8 wickets in total. A change in venue of IPL 2021 might do wonders for the MI bowler.

2. Yuzvendra Chahal

Chahal was RCB’s best bowler in the IPL last year. The 30-year-old scalped a total of 21 wickets in the IPL last year, averaging a brilliant bowling economy of 7.08 runs per over. However, Chahal failed to replicate a similar performance in IPL 2021. The RCB spin bowler managed to scalp only 4 wickets in 7 matches in the IPL this year. Chahal might regain his form if the remainder of IPL 2021 is held in UAE.

3. Kagiso Rabada

Kagiso Rabada was unplayable in the IPL last year. The South African scalped a remarkable 30 wickets in the IPL last year. However, Rabada struggled to find consistency in the IPL this year. In 7 matches in IPL 2021, Rabada managed to take only 8 wickets. Rabada could see a tremendous improvement in his bowling if UAE host the remainder of IPL 2021.

4. Mohammed Siraj

Siraj looked in fine form with the ball in the IPL last year. In 9 matches in IPL 2020, Siraj scalped a total of 11 wickets. However, Siraj failed to replicate a similar performance in the IPL this year. In 7 matches in IPL 2021, Siraj scalped only 6 wickets in total. Siraj might start scalping wickets regularly if UAE hosts the remainder of IPL 2021.

5. Jasprit Bumrah

Bumrah finished as the 2nd highest wicket-taker in the IPL last year. Bumrah scalped a total of 27 wickets in IPL 2020. However, the 27-year-old did not have the best time in IPL 2021. Bumrah managed to scalp only 6 wickets in 7 matches in IPL 2021. The 27-year-old could regain form with a change of venue for the remainder of IPL 2021.
