5. Ashish Nehra (170)

Ashish Nehra had one of his best outings with the ball in IPL 2015. Playing for CSK, the Indian bowler bowled 170 dot balls in the entire season. Nehra bowled 62 overs in IPL 2015, out of which 28.2 overs were entirely dotted balls. Nehra also boasted a fantastic bowling economy of 7.24 throughout the course of the entire season. 

4. RP Singh (171)

At no 4 on this list is Indian bowler RP Singh. RP Singh was arguably one of the best bowlers in the 2009 edition of the IPL. In 16 games, RP Singh bowled a total of 59.4 overs, out of which 28.3 overs were just dotted deliveries. He finished the season with an impressive 23 wickets and a superb economy of 6.98. His outstanding season with Deccan Charges ended on a high note, as DC went on to win the IPL 2009.

3. Lasith Malinga (183)

This list would have been incomplete without MI legend Lasith Malinga. Malinga is the highest wicket-taker in IPL history, with 170 wickets in just 122 matches. In IPL 2011, Malinga bowled a total of 63 overs, out of which 30.3 overs were dot balls. In the entirety of IPL 2011, the Sri Lankan bagged 28 wickets in 16 matches, averaging at under 6 runs per over. 

2. Deepak Chahar (190)

In 2019, Chahar had one of his best outings with CSK. In IPL 2019, Chahar bowled a total of 65 overs, out of which 31.4 overs were dot deliveries. Chahar played 17 matches that season, scalping a total of 22 wickets. His bowling efforts helped CSK reach the final. However, they lost to MI in the final. 

1. Dale Steyn (211)

No 1 on this list is the South African veteran Dale Steyn. In IPL 2011, Steyn wrote his name in the history books after bowling a record 211 dot balls in a single season. Steyn bowled a total of 68 overs that season, out of which 35.1 overs were dot balls. Steyn was phenomenal for RCB, picking 19 wickets with an astonishing economy of 5.33 runs per over.
