Since the inaugural edition of the IPL, pace bowlers have taken the T20 league by storm. From Lasith Malinga to Dwayne Bravo, we have seen some of the best pace bowlers exploit batsmen like never before. That said, here is a list of 5 pace bowlers to look out for in IPL 2021:

1. Jasprit Bumrah

Mumbai’s pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah will certainly be a bowler to watch out for in IPL 2021. Known to bowl deadly yorkers, Bumrah can certainly knock the wind out of opposition batsmen on his day. Bumrah was the 2nd highest wicket-taker in IPL 2020, scalping 27 wickets in 15 matches. Furthermore, his bowling economy of 6.73 clearly highlights how invaluable he is to the MI side. Bumrah is expected to come out all guns blazing in the IPL this season.

2. Kagiso Rabada

At no 2 on this list is South African bowler Kagiso Rabada. Rabada was the purple cap winner in the 13th edition of the IPL. In 17 wickets, the DC bowler scalped an impressive 30 wickets in the entire season. While Rabada is known to bowl inch-perfect yorkers, he is also a specialist at bowling bouncers. DC will heavily rely on Rabada to be at his brilliant best in IPL 2021.

3. Anrich Nortje

Back in IPL 2020, Anrich Nortje came in to replace the injured Chris Woakes in the DC lineup. Nortje grabbed headlines after he broke the record for the fastest ball in IPL history. Not only that, but Nortje also picked wickets at crucial moments. In 16 matches, Nortje scalped 22 wickets in IPL 2020. Delhi could utilize Nortje’s deadly pace to their advantage in the IPL this season.

4. Trent Boult

Trent Boult will lead the MI bowling lineup alongside Jasprit Bumrah in IPL 2021. Boult was MI’s most successful bowler after Jasprit Bumrah in the IPL last year. In 15 matches, Boult scalped a total of 25 wickets in IPL 2020. The New Zealand bowler was awarded Man of the Match in the final against DC in IPL 2020. Boult could certainly exploit opposition batsmen in the IPL this year.

5.  T Natarajan

Nicknamed the ‘Yorker King’, T Natarajan was arguably SRH’s best bowler in IPL 2020. IN 16 matches, T Natarajan scalped a total of 16 wickets in IPL 2020. After a superb outing with SRH last year, T Natarajan received his maiden national call-up for India. The 29-year-old had a brilliant outing with India in the international format. The SRH bowler is expected to deliver extraordinary bowling figures in the IPL this year.
