However, Pakistani cricketers were a part of the inaugural edition of the IPL back in 2008. That said, here are 5 Pakistani cricketers who have participated in the IPL:

5. Shoaib Akhtar

Shoaib Akhtar is arguably one of the best pace bowlers that Pakistan has produced. The right-arm pace bowler scalped an impressive 449 wickets in his cricketing career. Akhtar was part of the KKR side in the inaugural edition of the IPL. In 3 matches in IPL 2008, Shoaib Akhtar scalped a total of 5 wickets for KKR. Shoaib Malik is another famous Pakistani cricketer who played in the IPL. Malik represented the Delhi franchise in IPL 2008.
