South Africa declares 20-man Test squad for Pakistan tour

The Proteas team is all prepared to travel to Pakistan for two-Test matches, and a 3-match T20 international. The series is going to begin on January 26. Pakistan and South Africa will play the final match of the series on February 14. All five events are going to take place across different venues. In the same vein, the South African team has declared its squad to play against Pakistan in the game's most extended format.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock will be leading the Proteas team in whites. The first test match will be played on January 26 at Karachi. Following that, the second Test will begin from February at Rawalpindi. All three T20 international games will stage in Lahore on February 11, 13, and 14, respectively.

The Men in Green will be eager to welcome South Africa on their soil. Their higher officials also stated earlier that they look forward to teams playing in their nation. This will be an excellent boost for fans there and let Pakistan cricket grow in times to come. Before stationing the Proteas side, men in green were up against New Zealand on their soil.

Both the teams will travel commercially and enter into a mandatory period of quarantine in Karachi. After the completion, the team will commence with training and intra-squad practice sessions.

Both the top countries locked horns in T20I and Test series where Pakistan had to face massive defeat against the black caps. Post losing in the game's shortest format, and fans expected some respectable performance from Pakistan in the purest form. The entire team went on to put on a dismal show. After defeating the hosts with a considerable margin, Kiwis sealed the top position in the ICC Test rankings.

A lot of big stars from the Pakistan cricket fraternity lashed the team for their poor performance outside. Hence, it will be interesting to see as to how the Pakistan team plays against the Proteas team.
