AAmbati Rayudu is possibly going to represent Andhra in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, 2021. India's T20 championship is going to start on January 10, 2021. According to Telangana Today, the Andhra Cricket Association will be announcing Ambati Rayudu's inclusion officially in few days.

BCCI sources also confirmed that the former Hyderabad captain has already received his no-objection certificate from the board. Rayudu will most likely take part in the domestic competition. Also, the 35-year-old was a part of CSK in their disappointing campaign. The Hyderabad Cricket Association over-looked him last year.

This is going to be the second time Rayudu will play for Andhra

The right-hander will be playing in Andhra colors for the second time in his career. The CSK batsman previously represented Andhra Pradesh in their match against Hyderabad. The match took place in Anantpur during the 2005-06 season. The then infamous clash broke out between him and Arjun Yadav.

Ambati Rayudu has been a part of several controversies in the last few years. Before the 2019 World Cup selection, he was one of India's most prolific batters in the middle-order. The batsman lost his form just before the World Cup and was eventually dropped from the national squad. His drop from the team was quite a buzz in the entire cricket fraternity.

After back to back rejections from Indian selectors, Rayudu finally announced his retirement in June 2019. He opted out of the Ranji Trophy season last year as well citing politics in the Hyderabad setup. He further added that he wasn't feeling comfortable in the format.

Rayudu also went on to criticize the HCA for going further with Arjun Yadav as the coach after an awful 2019-20 Ranji season. That season Hyderabad lost six of their seven matches.

For the tournament, all the cricketers will be assembling at their respective centers by January 2, 2021. Also, the final match of the game will be on January 21, 2021. After going through the responses and the feedback received, BCCI was pleased to inform that the planning and scheduling have already started.

The CSK batsman has played 55 One Day International matches for India and scored 1694 runs with an average of 47. Talking about his T20 and IPL career, the batsman has scored 42 and 3659 runs in 6 and 159 matches respectively.
