Top two teams of the ongoing Women’s T20 League 2023 so far, Mumbai and Delhi locked horns in the 7th match of the tournament. The Delhi skipper Meg Lanning won the toss and decided to win the toss but her decision couldn’t work in the clash of two powerhouses. Mumbai bundled Delhi only on the score of 105 runs in 18 overs.
While chasing the target, Mumbai, on the back of brilliant knocks from the top-order batters comfortably chased down the target only in overs and won the match by wickets to register the third consecutive win in the tournament.

Speaking of the entire action of the match, the amazing bowling trio of Saika Ishaque, Issy Wong, and Hayley Matthews scalped three wickets each alongside Pooja Vastrakar who claimed one wicket. On the back of these bowling performances, Mumbai bundled Delhi’s batting lineup only on the score of 105 runs in only 18 overs.
Skipper Meg Lanning played struggled and intentionally fully knock 43 runs off 41 balls with five boundaries to her name.
While chasing the target, the opening pair of Yastika Bhatia, and Hayley Matthews stitched a partnership of 65 runs for the first wicket in 8.5 overs. Bhatia played a crucial knock of 41 runs off 32 balls with eight boundaries; followed by a 32-run knock by Hayley Matthews off 31 balls with six boundaries.
Eventually, star batter Nat-Sciver Brunt finished the match for Mumbai with a four and helped her team to win the match by a big margin of eight wickets. Alongside NSB, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur also went unbeaten on an individual score of 11 runs.
