Aakash Chopra lists the players that Sunrisers Hyderabad should retain

The renowned commentator, Aakash Chopra, has turned up once again with his expert advice for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Aakash came up with different strategies that SRH can use for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League.

Aakash Chopra stated that SRH should manifest the same determination in IPL 2021 that they showed in the recently concluded league. A lot will rely on the number of foreign players that can be retained by each franchise before the IPL 2021 mega auction.

David Warner and Rashid Khan will be my first two elects, says Chopra

The 43-year-old selected skipper David Warner and star leg-spinner Rashid Khan as his first two picks that should be retained. He further added that the orange army should either retain or use RTM card for Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan.

T Natarajan should be a definite pick for SRH. He took 16 wickets in as many matches and impressed with his skills. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been a consistent star performer for SRH. He was ruled out of IPL 2020 due to a ship injury.

Aakash Chopra then suggested Manish Pandey as another Indian player the management should retain. While, for the overseas spot, Chopra went with New Zealand star player, Kane Williamson.

It will be a tough call as the franchise has to decide between Jonny Bairstow and Jason Holder. It will depend on how they manage their overseas slots to come up with the best squad in the upcoming season.

He also pointed out that the SRH is unlikely to make any changes in their overseas contingent. It is because either the players did well or some did not get the opportunity to perform.

Give youngsters more opportunities in IPL 2021 - Aakash Chopra

Chopra also stated that if SRH management is holding back some youngsters, then they must give them more opportunities.  The 43-year-old believed players like Priyam Garg, Abdul Samad, Abhishek Sharma supposed to be put to fair use to help them make an immense contribution to the franchise.

The renowned commentator is hoping for a more significant contribution from the youngsters if they happen to be retained by the management. It will be exciting to notice the changes which SRH will make to their squad. The franchise will look to add a bit more experience in their middle order, which was their vulnerable point in the 13th edition.
