Aakash Chopra picks his ideal XI for DC vs SRH game

Cricketer turned expert Aakash Chopra has named his ideal playing XI for the Delhi Capitals (DC) v Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) match. Chopra picked Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw as DC’s openers. He slotted Rishabh Pant at 3, followed by Shreyas Iyer at 4. Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis and Axar Patel will be the No 5, 6, 7 respectively in Chopra’s XI. Ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will walk in at 8, followed by the three pacers - Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje and Avesh Khan.

Coming to SRH, Chopra feels former skipper David Warner will open alongside wicketkeeper-batter Wridhhiman Saha. The No 3 slot goes to Manish Pandey while Kane Williamson will play at 4. The former India cricketer reckoned that one of Priyam Garg and Abhishek Sharma will play at 5, while there will be a toss-up between Vijay Shankar and Abdul Samad for the 6th place.

West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder will come in at 7, followed by ace Afghan spinner Rashid Khan. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, and T Natarajan are the three pacers Chopra has gone in with. 

Both SRH and DC had contrasting outings in the first leg. While DC occupied the top spot with six wins in eight games, SRH lost six of their seven games and were languishing at the bottom of the table before the tournament was postponed. However, it’s a fresh start and tables could turn pretty quickly.
