Aakash Chopra reckons that Indian team management should include both Ashwin and Jadeja for the WTC final. The most awaited event of the year will commence on June 18. Aakash Chopra said that the Indian cricket team should "bite the bullet" and take the field at the Rose Bowl in Southampton with five bowlers. This includes Ravi Ashwin and Jadeja, bearing in mind New Zealand's potential weakness against spin.

The Men in Blue will kick off the tour with the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand. It will be played from June 18 to 22 in Southampton. Following the final, the Indian team will have a 40-day break as the five-match Tests series will commence on August 4. The men's team is likely to play a couple of intra-squad games before the England series.

Both Ashwin and Jadeja can perform well in English conditions: Aakash Chopra

Kane Williamson and his team recently played the first Test against England and did not face a specialist spinner. England skipper Joe Root was the only spinner in the opposition camp. The former Indian cricketer strongly believes that Ashwin and Jadeja can do wonders for team India in English conditions.

Ravi Ashwin is currently placed third in the list of leading wicket-taker in the World Test Championship. In 13 matches so far, Ashwin has picked up 67 wickets. Now, he requires four more wickets to reach the top. However, if he manages to pick four wickets, he will surpass Australian pacer, Pat Cummins. Cummins has picked up 70 scalps from 14 games.

On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja didn't play the Test series against England as he was recovering from an injury. However, the all-rounder has scalped 28 wickets from 10 games in the World Test Championship. Earlier, former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria called Ravindra Jadeja India's trump card in the final. He reckoned that the Indian all-rounder is a triple-dimensional player due to his batting, bowling, and fielding skills.

Virat Kohli and team are currently under quarantine in Southampton, England. The entire Indian contingent, including the support staff, and the women's cricket team have checked in at the Hilton Hotel on June 3. The hotel is located on the premises of the Ageas Bowl, which is also the venue for the final clash.
