The second match of the UAE leg of IPL 2021 will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Both teams had contrasting results in the first half. While RCB had impressive outings and won five of their seven games, KKR could only manage two wins in their seven matches. KKR cannot afford to lose too many now, while RCB would want to continue from where they left in the India leg, which makes this game a very important one.
Cricketer turned expert Aakash Chopra, who’s very active on social media, has made his predictions for the match. Chopra feels Virat Kohli-led RCB are the favourites to win. He also said that fast bowlers will take more than four wickets in the match while the spinners, Varun Chakravarthy and Yuzvendra Chahal will end up with more than three wickets.
Both RCB and KKR have some very good fast bowlers at disposal including the likes Lockie Ferguson, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj among others. Also, Varun Chakravarthy and Yuzvendra Chahal will be keen to do well in the match. Both spinners have a point to prove. While Varun would want to justify his selection in the T20 World Cup squad, Chahal would be keen to make a statement after being left out of the same.
The former batter also said that Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers will score more than 60 runs. De Villiers was in fine form in the first leg and scored a couple of match-winning fifties, with one of those coming against the same opposition that helped RCB win the match by 38 runs. Meanwhile, Kohli, who’s a master in this format of the game would be looking to regain his magical touch with the bat, which has been missing for a while.
