Against all odds, Sri Lanka came up victorious in the Asia Cup Final and clinched the coveted Cup for the sixth time. What followed was a festival-like celebration in the country amidst economic struggle. Scenes at the Pakistani camp, however, were in direct contrast to the Sri Lankan counterpart. The dressing room was disappointed following a batting collapse and so were the fans in the stadium and on social media.

To have lost the Cup to an underdog team after defeating the favourites India must be a hard pill to swallow for the Men in Green. Now, from the reaction of Pakistan Cricket Board’s chairman Ramiz Raja it certainly seems that way.

Following the match, when Raja was asked, “Aawam badi nakhush hain, unke naam koi Sandesh? (People are very disappointed, any message for them?)”, the PCB chairman replied angrily.

He said, “Dekhen aap Indian se honge to aapke to bahut khush honge (See you’re from India so your people must certainly be happy).”

Appearing angry at the question, the former Pakistan cricketer moved towards the journalist and snatched his phone, but returned it right away.

The journalist by the name Rohit Juglan has now come out with a tweet asking if his question was wrong and hitting back at the PCB chairman for snatching his phone.

He posted the video on Twitter with the caption, “Was my question wrong- Are Pakistan fans not disappointed? This was very wrong, as a chairman of a board you should not have snatched my phone- that’s not right Mr. Chairman Taking my phone was not right @TheRealPCB @iramizraja”

The video has since then gone viral with people calling Ramiz Raja frustrated and his anger at the journalist unjustified.

Raja's frustration has stemmed from Pakitan’s poor performance in the Asia Cup final after they allowed Sri Lanka to build a good score and failed to chase it down. Sri Lanka came up with an emphatic win by 23 runs in the final and clinched their sixth Asia Cup.
