Team India are currently busy playing the first game of the two-match Test series in Chattogram, Bangladesh. In order to get qualified for the final of the World Test Championship, this series is crucial for the Men in Blue. However, regular skipper, Rohit Sharma missed this match due to his thumb injury. 

Therefore, KL Rahul got the opportunity to lead the team.  However, after two days of play, India are in a commanding position against the Bangla Tigers. Speaking of the match, KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bat first. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav got a chance in the final playing XI as one of the three spinners.

Kuldeep Yadav took five wickets in the first innings of the Bangladesh

At the end of day one, India scored 278 runs for six wickets in 90 overs. Shreyas Iyer finished the day after scoring 82* runs off 169 balls, including 10 fours. Cheteshwar Pujara scored 90 runs off 203 balls, including 11 fours. On day two, team India got bundled out for 404 runs in 133.5 overs in the first innings. Iyer got out on 86 runs off 192 balls. Then, Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav put up a solid partnership of 92 runs. Ashwin got out after scoring 58 runs off 113 balls, including two balls and two sixes. While Kuldeep scored 40 runs off 114 balls, including five fours.

It was a vital contribution from both the spinner with the bat. But, India finished the day on high when they picked up Bangladesh’s eight wickets for 133 runs. Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets for 33 runs in 10 overs. So, fans were hoping to see him grabbing a fifer in this inning. On day three, he did not disappoint his fans in the first session as he took his fifth wicket. Bangladesh got bundled out for 150 runs while Kuldeep took five wickets for 40 runs in 16 overs. Then, India did not enforce the follow-on and came out to bat with a lead of 254 runs.
