India star pacer Deepak Chahar finally has an update for his fans awaiting a comeback. The Chennai star has been struggling with a complicated hamstring injury that has already wiped a year off his cricketing career. He was called back for the Bangladesh series; however, he had to be sent back to the NCA due to a reoccurrence of his injury. He also made an appearance in the Ranji Trophy, bowling 21 overs. The 30-year-old is currently on a break from competitive cricket.
It was recently reported that Deepak Chahar has started training with the aim of making a comeback in the coveted Indian T20 League for the Chennai franchise. And finally, on Monday, he had good news for his fans as he confirmed his participation in the Indian T20 League, saying he was 'fully fit and ready.'
Jasprit Bumrah also announced his comeback in the Indian T20 League
Another of India's mainstays of the pace-bowling unit, Jasprit Bumrah, continued to miss out on competitive cricket recovering from a back injury. However, recent reports suggest that the star India pacer will directly be available for the Indian T20 League; he is expected to join the Mumbai Franchise for the upcoming season of the premier T20 League of the country.
Whether the pacer plays or not, he is a major centre of attraction and discussion. Right now, the question is if he plays in the cash-rich Indian league, his workload management will be an essential part. The finals of the Global Test Championship are right after the Indian T20 League, and the ODI World Cup is scheduled for later this year.
Fans reacted quickly to the two star pacers announcing their comebacks for the Indian T20 League one after the other. However, many have taken these announcements in the wrong sense painting a money-minded picture of the two pacers who have not contributed to the national outfit but have timely managed to return for the cash-rich league.
