Jude Bellingham's €103 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid has been approved. Borussia Dortmund made the first announcement of Bellingham's transfer to Santiago Bernabeu last week, along with the enormous €103m (£88m/$110m) transfer fee. Before agreeing to terms with Real, the 19-year-old underwent a physical. This week, Real will formally introduce him as their newest signing.

The Spanish giants released an official statement announcing the deal on Wednesday, which reads: "Real Madrid CF and Borussia Dortmund have agreed on the transfer of the player Jude Bellingham, who will remain linked to our club for the next six seasons."

Jude Bellingham will be presented as a Real Madrid player on June 15, Thursday

The club added on Bellingham's presentation ceremony: "Tomorrow, Thursday, June 15, at 12:00 noon at Real Madrid City, the presentation ceremony for Jude Bellingham as a new Real Madrid player will take place. Next, Jude Bellingham will appear before the media."

Bellingham has pledged his future to Real through 2029, ending his incredibly successful time playing for Dortmund in Germany. The England international joined BVB from Birmingham City in 2020, and in 132 appearances for the Bundesliga's top club, he amassed 24 goals and 25 assists. Bellingham had also drawn significant interest from Manchester City and Liverpool, but he decided to continue his development under the spotlight of the Santiago Bernabeu.

The England midfielder was initially selected for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifying matches against North Macedonia and Malta by Gareth Southgate. Bellingham, who missed Dortmund's final game of the 2022–23 season due to a knee injury, has since been informed by the FA that he would not participate in either match.

As a key member of England's team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Bellingham's talent was on full display. Bellingham also joined David Beckham and Michael Owen as the sixth player from England to don the Los Blancos jersey. Real Madrid's first significant summer acquisition is Bellingham, who joins the club after the departures of players like Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, and Marcos Asensio.
