The fans are eagerly waiting for the high-octane clash of Asia Cup 2023 between two arch-rivals India and Pakistan on the 10th of September. Earlier, the group-stage match between India and Pakistan was washed out due to rain after the end of the first innings. The venue has also been shifted to Colombo but the weather conditions are not favourable and rain might play spoilsport in the super-4 as well.

Meanwhile, in a good piece of news for the fans of both India and Pakistan across the borders, Asian Cricket’s governing body has confirmed a reserve day for this fixture between India and Pakistan.

"In such an eventuality, ticket-holders are advised to hold on to their match tickets." - Asian Cricket's governing body on reserve day

The governing body cleared the confirmation of this news. Following that, have decided to go ahead with an option of reserve day. But apart from that, they also raised concern over youngsters.

"A reserve day has been incorporated for the Super11 Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match between India vs Pakistan scheduled to take place on 10th September 2023 at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo. If adverse weather suspends play during the India vs Pakistan game, the match will continue on 11th September 2023 from the point it was suspended. In such an eventuality, ticket-holders are advised to hold on to their match tickets which will remain valid and will be utilised for the reserve day."

Speaking of cricket, Pakistan gave some early blows to India by scalping their 4 wickets only on the score of 66 runs. Later, the duo of wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan and vice-captain Hardik Pandya stitched a brilliant 138-run partnership for the fifth wicket of India. Kishan fell prey to Haris Rauf and got out on the individual score of 82 runs, followed by Hardik Pandya’s 87 runs.

On the back of these two knocks, the men in blue posted a decent total of 266 runs in 48.4 overs, losing all the wickets. Pakistan couldn’t bat in the second innings as the rain forced the officials to call it off.
