ABD reveals what Maxwell told him when he came out to bat against KKR

RCB star batsman AB de Villiers reveals what Glenn Maxwell told him when he came out to bat against KKR on Sunday. Glenn Maxwell's knock in the match against Punjab was very crucial. After losing skipper Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar in the second over, RCB recovered on the back of Maxwell's brilliant knock. Batting first, the Australian played smart cricket as he stabilized RCB's innings after the dismissal of Virat Kohli. The batsman smashed 78 runs off just 49 balls, including nine boundaries and three maximums. His exploits helped the Royal Challengers Bangalore to a massive score of 204 runs. Furthermore, his brilliant knock also enabled him to secure the second position on the list of highest run-scorers after three games.

AB De Villiers recalled that when he came out to bat, Maxwell told him that he doesn't want to run a lot as he was tired batting in the Chennai heat. The duo put on a crucial partnership of 53 runs. AB de Villiers had joined Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell in the 12th over when RCB were struggling 95/3. Glenn Maxwell, who was batting on 60* at the time, formed a 53-run partnership with De Villiers. The duo smashed 18 fours and 6 sixes altogether to take the Royal Challengers to 204 for 4.

Accepting that he enjoys playing alongside the Australian, AB de Villiers revealed how the duo planned the middle-overs assault. ABD started his innings with some quick twos and threes to race to 12 runs off 9 balls. But after that, the Proteas batsman took off from there as he slammed the KKR bowlers to all parts of the ground. AB de Villiers was also awarded the Man of the Match for his blistering exploits. The 37-year-old expressed his satisfaction after helping RCB record their third victory on the row. AB de Villiers has scored 125 runs in three matches so far in IPL 2021, at a strike rate of 189.39. The wicket-keeper batsman is performing the finisher's role will look to contribute again when RCB faces RR on April 22. Despite not playing any cricket since IPL 2020, AB de Villiers has begun IPL 2021 in great form.
