Pakistan are currently busy playing New Zealand in the two-match Test series at home. After losing against England in the home Test series, it was a great opportunity for the Men in Green to make a comeback in the longest format of the game. However, the PCB took a bold decision after the England series loss and sacked Ramiz Raja from the Chairman post on 21 December 2022.

Then, Prime Minister Shehbaz Shariff approved Najam Sethi’s appointment as the new PCB Chairman. Najam Sethi shared a tweet and wrote: “The cricket regime headed by Ramiz Raja @iramizraja is no more. The 2014 PCB constitution stands restored. The Management Committee will work tirelessly to revive first-class cricket. Thousands of cricketers will be employed again. The famine in cricket will come to an end.”

However, after that Ramiz Raja came back to his YouTube career and conducted a live fan forum. He said: "To accommodate one person, Sethi to be precise, they had to change the entire constitution (of the PCB). I have not seen this anywhere in the world. It has been done in the middle of a season when teams are visiting Pakistan. They have changed the chief selector, who had played Test cricket. At 2 am at night, he (Sethi) tweets that Ramiz Raja is gone. This is my playing field. It hurts."

Ramiz Raja further added: "It has been made out as if a messiah (Sethi) has come, who will take the game to new heights. We know what he is up to. He wants the limelight at any cost. He has nothing to do with cricket and has never lifted a bat. They have changed me midway. In the middle of the season, they are bringing Micky Arthur. Saqlain Mushtaq's tenure was ending anyway in January. Saqlain has played over 50 (49) Tests, he is a legend. This is no way to treat the cricketers." 

Now, the current PCB Chairman, Najam Sethi shared a tweet with an image of a table where he made comparisons between his previous, Ehsan Mani, and Ramiz Raja’s tenure. Fans thought that the new PCB Chairman wanted to establish that he is the best choice based on his previous achievements. Fans also did not find that tweet to be very entertaining as they shared their views on social media platforms.
