The senior selection committee of the Indian Cricket Board has announced the squad of Team India for the Tests and ODIs on the upcoming West Indies tour. The team will play two Tests and three ODIs under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma followed by the five T20Is. The first match of the tour will be played next month on the 12th of July.
Meanwhile, the management has made some big changes in the squad as they have dropped the senior Test specialist batter, Cheteshwar Pujara. Apart from that, a lot of youngsters have also been added to both the Test and ODI squads of Team India.
Subsequently, Indian cricket fans came up with divided opinions on the micro-blogging site Twitter after the announcement of the squad. Some of the fans questioned Pujara’s absence just after one-match failure whereas a few also questioned the inclusion of youngsters in the Test squad on the basis of IPL performances.
Here’s how fans reacted:

Notably, the veteran batter Ajinkya Rahane a stunning comeback in Test cricket after being dropped from the squad in February 2022 last year. Later on, he performed in first-class cricket and also delivered up to the expectations in IPL 2023 for CSK. Later on, he made his comeback in the Test side in the WTC 2023 final against Australia and now he has been appointed as the vice-captain of the Test team of India.
