Both India and Pakistan are preparing for their first match in the 20-20 World Cup against each other. On 17 October 2022, both teams played warm-up matches in Brisbane. However, India managed a win over Australia. While Pakistan lost against England by six wickets. However, both teams will play another warm-up match before the World Cup.
But, now a video went viral where former India great, Sunil Gavaskar was seen having an interaction with Babar Azam and his team. The Pakistan Cricket Board shared the same video on Twitter with the caption: “Babar Azam meets Sunil Gavaskar #T20WorldCup #WeHaveWeWill.”

Babar Azam did not bat during the warm-up match against England at Gabba
Speaking of the video, Babar Azam was seen with all smiles when he met Sunil Gavaskar. Former Indian batter also wished him “Happy Birthday.” But, the Pakistani skipper said thank you but it was yesterday. Then, Gavaskar was seen having an interactive session with many Pakistani players along with some former players who are currently in the coaching setup.
During the conversation, Sunil Gavaskar was seen talking about correct shot selections according to situations and having a proper mindset with the Pakistani skipper. Then, he asked Pakistan’s batting coach, Mohammad Yusuf about a record that he holds till now. He asked: “Abhi bhi aapka reccord hai nah? Maximum runs ka? 1800 ka? Test cricket mein.” In reply, Yusuf confirmed and Gavaskar acknowledged.
Speaking of Pakistan’s warm-up match, the Men in Green batted first and scored 160 runs for eight wickets in 19 overs. But, interestingly, Babar Azam did not bat in the game as other batters had a go before the tournament. But, England's batters were in good touch as they chased it down in just 14.4 overs. All middle-order batters came up with some crucial contributions as they thrashed Pakistan with ease. Meanwhile, they will play their next warm-up match against Afghanistan in Brisbane on 19 October 2022. On 23 October, they will kick off their campaign against arch-rivals India in Melbourne.
