It has been 3 years since MS Dhoni retired from International Cricket, but he is still playing in the Indian Premier League. However, this journey of his career may also end after this season. Under Dhoni's captaincy, India won 2 World Cups and a Champions Trophy, but Dhoni has also seen a phase when he was struggling to make a place in the team.

However, after hitting his first ODI century against Pakistan, his career really started. After this, he played a blistering inning of 183 runs against Sri Lanka. It was from here that Dhoni got recognition. And now, he made an interesting disclosure related to his cricket journey after the match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Thursday, April 27 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

“I think they will be chasing me throughout. It’s a very special venue because my first ODI hundred was in Vizag which gave away maybe another 10 games to me but 183 over here and it made sure that I get chances for one year. It’s a very good venue, very close to my heart. We have been playing around all over but it’s good to be back here." Dhoni said after the match.

A brilliant all-round performance by RR

This is not the first time he talked about his past in the post-match presentation, he is continuously turning the clock back after almost every IPL 2023 match. Earlier, he remembered the time when India won the 2011 and 2007 World Cups. He also remembered his job in Kharagpur before getting placed in the Indian Team.

Talking about the match, CSK suffered a 32-run defeat against RR. Batting first, Rajasthan scored 202 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Chennai could only manage 170 runs in 20 overs and lost the match. Chasing the target, Chennai got off to a bad start. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway shared a 42-run partnership for the first wicket in 6 overs. Conway could not do anything special and he was dismissed after scoring 8 runs. Gaikwad scored 48 runs. Ajinkya Rahane also went on to score 15 runs.

After this, Shivam Dubey and Moeen Ali started scoring fast, but this partnership could not last long. Ali got out after scoring 23 runs. However, Dubey completed his half-century handling one end. He played an innings of 52 runs and was dismissed on the last ball of the 20th over. Jadeja scored an unbeaten 23 runs. Adam Zampa took three wickets, Ashwin two and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket.
