Team India are currently busy playing the ongoing home ODI series against the Kiwis. However, all eyes will be on them when they will take on the Aussies in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The series will kick off on 9 February 2023 and the four-match series will run until 13 March.

This series is going to be a crucial one for the Men in blue as the series win will give them a palace in the final of the ongoing World Test Championship cycle. Australia have already qualified for the final. Hence, Rohit Sharma and his men will look to qualify for the final once again after losing the last final against the Kiwis.

Fans slammed Ian Healy for his comments on the Indian pitches ahead of this much-awaited series

However, ahead of this series, the former Australian cricketer, Ian Healy came up with some controversial comments regarding the Indian pitches. He claimed that they produced terrible wickets in the last series. He said: “India has a good team, but I’m not too scared of their spinners unless they produced difficult wickets, as it happened in half the series last time. Two wickets were terrible, unfair, and the spinners dominated from day one.”

However, Healy said that Mitchell Starc will be unavailable for the first Test and India are favorites to win the series 2-1. He further added: “So that type of thing they will play better on than we will, but if they get flat wickets that India used to put out, nice flat batting wickets, and bowlers have to work hard, I think we can do it. But my prediction is 2-1 for India if Starc’s unavailable in the first Test. If Starc is not there for the first Test, then he will not get time to prepare for the second Test.” But, fans were not happy as the former Aussie Cricketer raised questions on the Indian pitches.
