England batters looked completely clueless against the pace attack of India

Batting first, the mighty batting line-up of England was looking completely clueless against the senior Indian pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami. Bumrah broke the spine of England’s top-order as he scalped four big wickets. Joe Root, Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, and Liam Livingstone fell prey to the 28-year-old.

England lost their five wickets only on the score of 26 runs. They were struggling against the Indian pace attack. Shami and Bumrah didn’t give any chance to the batter with their fierce and accurate bowling in the first ODI against the hosts.

Speaking of the batting of England, only four batters could reach an individual score in the double digits. Skipper Jos Buttler remained the highest scorer of the inning with his individual score of 30 runs off 32 balls with six boundaries. Other than him, lower-order batter David Willey and Brydon Carse played the individual scores of 21 and 15. Senior all-rounder Moeen Ali got succumbed to Prasidh Krishna on an individual score of 14.

Somehow, struggling to survive against India, England managed to post a very low total of 110 runs and lost their all wickets in just 25.2 overs.
