Speaking of the entire action of the match, the young opener and wicketkeeper-batter of Punjab Kings, Prabhsimran Singh smashed a swashbuckling century; he scored 103 runs off just 10 boundaries and six sixes to his name. Other than him, it was only Sam Curran who managed to touch the individual mark of 20+ runs in the first innings for the Kings. On the back of Prabhsimran’s amazing century and Curran’s contribution, the visitors somehow managed to get a total of 167 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the first half of the game.
While defending the target, the Punjab Kings bowling attack completely dominated the Delhi Capitals after a brilliant start from the openers, David Warner and Phil Salt. They restricted Delhi only to the score of 136 runs by scalping eight wickets. Harpreet Brar impressed with his bowling and scalped four wickets at the cost of only 30 runs in his four overs. Other than him, Nathan Ellis and Rahul Chahar also claimed two wickets each. Eventually, Punjab Kings won the match by 31 runs and Prabhsimran won the ‘Player of the Math award for his match-defining century in favour of the Kings.
