Punjab Kings defeated the five-time champions Mumbai Indians in a nail-biting fixture at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Kings also gained a benefit and moved to the fifth spot in the points table of the tournament. Apart from that, the visitors also engaged in funny banter with the Mumbai Police on the micro-blogging site Twitter following the match against the home team.

It all started after the young Punjab Kings pacer Arshdeep Singh went on to break the middle stump two times which further became the most discussed point of the match.

“Hey Mumbai Police, we'd like to report a crime,” read the tweet posted by Punjab Kings from their official Twitter handle.

Later on, Mumbai Police didn’t hold back and came up with an interesting and hilarious reply to Kings’ tweet.

“Action is most likely to be taken on breaking the law, not stumps!” wrote Mumbai Police from their official Twitter handle.
