Sometimes, there are a few instances in the game of cricket that make it more than a game and things go beyond the radius of the ground where that action of cricket takes place. A similar is currently happening in the case of the infamous verbal altercation between former RCB skipper Virat Kohli and LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir that happened on the Monday after the end of the match between both teams.
The 2011 World Cup-winning teammates of Team India were involved in a heated conversation with each other in the aftermath of the match between LSG and RCB. The incident went to the extent that both were later slapped with a fine of 100 percent of their respective match fees.
Meanwhile, in the list of former cricketers speaking on this infamous episode, the former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has made a hilarious entry in the entire scenario. Yuvi came up with a tweet on his official Twitter handle where he suggested a cold drink brand to include both Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir for their next commercial.
“I think Sprite should sign Gauti (Gautam Gambhir) and Cheeku (Virat Kohli) for their campaign #ThandRakh, what say guys?” Wrote Yuvraj Singh in his tweet while taking a dig at the on-field spat between two of his former colleagues in the Indian team.

Just after the tweet posted by the 2011 World Cup’s player of the tournament, the fans immediately rushed to the reply section of his tweet and came up with a lot of hilarious and funny responses or reactions. Other than Yuvraj Singh, the former blistering Indian opener Virender Sehwag also came up with a statement on this spat between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli.
“I switched off the TV once the match got over. I had no idea about what happened after the match. The next day when I woke up, I saw a lot of chaos on social media. What happened wasn’t right. The loser should quietly accept defeat and walk away and the winning team should celebrate. Why did they need to say anything to each other? I always say one thing, that these guys are icons of the country. If they do or say anything, millions of kids follow them and probably think ‘If my icon has done this, I would too’. So if they keep these things in mind, they would limit such incidents,” said Sehwag to Cricbuzz.
