“Usually, the ICC announces World Cup schedules at least a year in advance, but this time it has also been waiting for the BCCI to get the necessary clearances from the Indian government. This includes two key issues: getting a tax exemption for the tournament, and visa clearance for the Pakistan team, which has not played in India except at ICC events since early 2013,” reads a report by ESPNcricinfo.

Here’s how fans troll Pakistan after Indian Cricket Board's clearance on visas:

Earlier last week, the Pakistan Cricket Board chief Najam Sethi came up with a hard and fast-lined statement regarding Pakistan’s participation in the marquee tournament in India.

"We have complex issues on hand but for me when I go to the ACC and ICC meetings I have kept all options open for us and we have to take a clear position now," said Sethi during a press conference on Monday, the 13th of March 2023.

"I have kept my options open because when all teams are coming to Pakistan and have no issues with security. Then why is India worried about security? In the same way, we can also have security concerns over sending our team to India for the World Cup and I will be bringing this to the table at the coming meetings," he added later.
