On 10 November 2022, team India took on England in Adelaide in the semi-final of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup. The Men in Blue came to this clash after winning four out of their five group-stage matches. On the other hand, England qualified for the semi-final from their group alongside the Kiwis.

So, fans were waiting for a great match between England and India. On the other hand, Pakistan qualified for the finals on 9 November against New Zealand. They managed to defeat the Kiwis by seven wickets and they will be in action again on 13 November. Speaking of the match, Jos Buttler won the toss and asked India to bat first.

Hardik Pandya scored 63 runs off 33 balls against England

Both the openers, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul departed early. KL Rahul scored only five runs off five balls. Rohit batted at a strike rate of 96.42 as he scored 27 runs off 28 balls. The Indian skipper managed only four boundaries. Then, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya steadied the ship by building a partnership of more than 50 runs. Virat Kohli scored 50 runs off 40 balls, at a strike rate of 125. He hit four boundaries and one six. But, Hardik Pandya finally managed to showcase his ability with the bat in this match.

He scored 63 runs off 33 balls, including four boundaries and five sixes. He batted at a strike rate of 190.90. In this World Cup, Hardik Pandya scored only 65 runs in four matches. However, he was doing well with the ball as Hardik took eight wickets. Now, after this inning, fans were relieved to see him in such action. But, Hardik Pandya got out for a hit-wicket on the last delivery of India’s innings. Even, though the ball went for four runs but it did not get counted as Hardik got out. Thus, fans were sad as they claimed him unlucky for getting out in such a manner after playing such a devastating inning.
