New Zealand is all set to host the Women's World Cup starting in just a few days. While the league matches are scheduled to begin on the 4th of March, warm-up games will begin from the 27th of February. Each team will play a total of two warm-up games. The last match of the warm-up round will be played between Pakistan and Bangladesh on the 2nd of March. The teams will have two days for rest and practice before the league match begins.
The league stage will begin with an encounter between hosts New Zealand and West Indies on the 4th of March. India is among the five teams that are looking to get their hands on the trophy for the first time. They have come close in the past, but have never won it. They will begin their campaign on the 6th of March against arch-rivals Pakistan.
The Indian team is not in the best form they would have hoped. They recently lost a five-match series by a margin of 4-1 against New Zealand. However, they won the last match and would want to continue this momentum in the World Cup.
Broadcast details
Star Sports Network will telecast the live league matches. However, the broadcast details of the warm up games are not confirmed. Hotstar may stream the matches.
