South Africa failed to chase down a target of 159 runs against the Netherlands
Speaking of the tweet, Sachi Tendulkar wrote: “Went for breakfast with a friend. Told him we'll go Dutch. They are known as ‘Chokers’ for losing many matches from winning situations.
Even, against the Dutch, they choked again as South Africa failed to chase a target of 159 runs. Fans found the tweet very funny as it is quite rare to see Sachin Tendulkar comes up with such cheeky tweets. Speaking of the match, Temba Bavuma won the toss and asked the Netherlands to bat first. They managed to score 158 runs for four wickets in 20 overs.
Tom Cooper scored 35 runs off 19 balls, including two fours and two sixes. Colin Ackermann scored 41* runs off 26 balls, including three fours and two sixes. For the Proteas, Keshav Maharaj took two wickets for 27 runs in his four overs. But, in reply, South Africa managed only 145 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Thus, the Dutch defeated the Proteas by 13 runs. Colin Ackermann won the player of the match award for his knock with the bat. However, Brandon Glover took three wickets for nine runs in two overs against South Africa.
