Former Indian player and captain MS Dhoni celebrates his birthday 41st birthday today. The veteran cricketer has given Indian fans many memories. He has inspired many young cricketers to take up gloves, which has given India many new wicketkeepers.

In his career as the captain of the Indian team, MS Dhoni had a lot to be proud of. He became the only player in the world to win all three major ICC trophies as the captain. He guided the team to win the inaugural T20 World Cup. The wicketkeeper-batter then guided the team to lift the World Cup after a wait of 28 years in 2011. He completed his ICC trophy collection with a Champions Trophy in 2013.

One of the most memorable performances that MS Dhoni gave was in the 2011 World Cup final against Sri Lanka. The team captain promoted himself in the batting order ahead of the veteran all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. This move worked very well for India as he scored a half-century to guide the team through. He hit a six to finish the game in style.

Ravi Shastri's iconic lines in the commentary box perfectly summarize the impact he had in that situation. "Dhoni finishes off in style. A magnificent strike into the crowd! India lift the World Cup after 28 years!" he said when Dhoni completed the game with a six to win the World Cup.

In his illustrious career with the Indian team, the 41-year-old made many runs. He made his debut in 2004 and retired in 2020. He played his last international game against New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup Semi-Final. In the 350 ODI matches that he played, he scored 10773 at an average of 50.6. The World Cup-winning captain played 98 T20I games, scoring 1617 runs. He also scored 4876 runs in 90 Test matches that he played.

Meanwhile, many Cricketer came in to wish MS Dhoni on his 41st birthday. "Happy Birthday to my big brother. Thank you for being my biggest supporter and mentor in every phase of life, may god bless you and your family with good health always. Much love to you mahi bhai. Wishing you a great year ahead!" Suresh Raina tweeted.
