Andre Russell gets candid, reveals his favourite food, favourite sportsperson, and best memory with Kolkata

Andre Russel has been a very important part of the Kolkata team in the Indian T20 League 2022. The all-rounder joined the team in 2014 and was a part of their championship win in the same season. Recently, Russell became the fourth player after Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa and Yusuf Pathan to score over 2000 runs for the franchise.

With a strike rate of more than 180 in the Indian T20 League, the 34-year-old also became the fastest batter (in terms of balls faced) to achieve the 2000-run milestone. In the ongoing season, the Jamaican has scored 330 runs in 11 innings. He has a massive strike rate of 182.3 and an average of 41.25. Russell has also been handy with the ball. He has taken 17 wickets in 13 games for the team.

Russell recently discussed his favourite food in Kolkata, favourite actress, and many other things in a video posted on Kolkata's official YouTube page. He also stated that winning the 2014 ITL under Gambhir was his favourite moment. Furthermore, Russell stated that his favourite athlete of all time is the renowned Cristiano Ronaldo, who is presently a member of Manchester United.
